A car GPS Tracker is an electronic device that connects to the on-board electrical system of a car or other vehicle in order to monitor its movement, record the route of movement and subsequently reproduce it on an electronic map.

The eQuGPS Track GPS tracker is a compact electronic device that connects to the onboard electrical system of a car or another vehicle/object and transmits the object location to online monitoring servers in real time. You can track the object movement or view its movement history at any time from a computer or the eQuGPS app on your smartphone. The device uses GPS technology to determine its location. Position accuracy is 5-10 m.

The device can also support engine blocking when the required relay is installed. ACC control can notify you when the ignition is turned on or when blocking is triggered, and the built-in backup battery (BAT) can provide up to 5 hours of autonomous operation if external power is lost.

The built-in accelerometer helps determine whether the object is stopped or moving. In motion, the tracker sends positions more often; at rest, it sends them less often to save energy.

In addition to GPS, the device can determine location using LBS (mobile base stations). This method is less accurate, but helps quickly estimate the approximate position.

The device is suitable for cars, trucks and special equipment. It works from 12-24V without modifications. For basic operation, it is enough to connect "+" and "-".

After connecting the device to the vehicle's on-board electrical system, the device constantly calculates its location using GPS and sends data to the monitoring server. The user can view the object's position in On-Line mode or the movement history at any time.

Used to record ignition on/off or lockout relay activation. To operate, connect the green wire to ACC.

b. CUT — Engine lock.
Allows you to remotely lock the engine via the app. Requires installation of a locking relay. The command is activated only when the car stops.

c. BAT — Built-in backup battery.
Allows you to receive notifications about device power outages and monitor up to 4 hours after a power outage.

The GPS tracker uses a mobile network to access the internet, so a SIM card is required to transfer data to the monitoring system.

For trackers with an eQuGPS SIM card, SIM support costs 80 UAH/month. Payment is possible monthly or annually.

You can use your own SIM card, but in this case some technical support and settings may be limited.

You need a standard-sized SIM card, without a PIN code, with active voice, SMS, GPRS. Recommended — per-kilobyte tariffing (100 MB/month is enough).

A SIM for smartphones with per-megabyte pricing can consume up to 5 GB/month.

The SIM card can work in roaming if the tariff and mobile operator support it. Before travelling abroad, contact eQuGPS support to check service availability and settings.

For frequent use outside Ukraine, a local M2M/SIM card with a suitable tariff may be more practical.

eQuGPS devices use a SIM card prepared for GPS equipment. The user does not need to top it up or configure it manually.

If you use your own SIM card, check that mobile internet is active, the PIN code is disabled and the APN of your mobile operator is correct. If needed, contact eQuGPS support.
